Fire breaks out in Kerala football stadium, 30 people injured by fireworks

An incident of fire has been witnessed in a football stadium in Mallapuram. Actually, a match was organized in the football stadium of Areekode. During this, 30 people were slightly injured due to bursting of firecrackers in the stadium. Let us tell you that the Sevens Football Tournament was about to start in the stadium. During this time fireworks were being done. After bursting, the firecrackers spread far and wide, due to which people sitting around the ground also got injured. The injured people have been admitted to nearby hospitals. Let us tell you that this incident happened during the final match between United FC Nellikuth and KMG Mavoor.

Fire breaks out in Kambamala forests

On the other hand, a day after a part of the grassland was destroyed by forest fire in the Kambamala forests of Kerala's hill district Wayanad, fire broke out again in the same hills near Mananthavady on Tuesday. The forest department suspects that this was not a 'natural incident'. Forest officials said that about 10 hectares of grassland in the interior forest was destroyed by fire on Monday. Officials of the forest and fire departments controlled the fire after several hours of effort. However, on Tuesday, the flames spread once again on the same hill.

Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of North Wayanad, Martin Lovell, in a video message expressed doubts over the incident, saying that the fire did not appear to be natural. He said that someone must have deliberately set the fire, as the incident took place in the grasslands inside the forest, where such fires usually do not occur naturally. The officer said, "When we investigated the situation, we understood that the incidents of fire occurred on days when there was a tiger problem in the area. It is suspected that the forest was deliberately set on fire.
