Mumbai    Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has been awarded the 'Maharashtrian of the Year 2025' award for his powerful portrayal of Murlikant Petkar in the film 'Chandu Champion'. Through the role of Murlikant Petkar, Kartik brought to the big screen the inspirational story of this unseen hero of Maharashtra, who won the first Paralympic gold medal for India.

Kartik's dedication, transformation and hard work towards this role not only brought out Petkar's strength and passion in a great way, but also brought his amazing story to a larger audience. With this award, Kartik not only proved his acting prowess, but also took Maharashtra's pride to new heights.

After receiving the award, Kartik Aaryan expressed his happiness and said, it is a great honour for me to receive the Maharashtrain of the Year 2025 Award. This is a proud moment for me and my family. I may be from Gwalior, but Mumbai is my karmabhoomi. This city has given me my name, fame, house and everything I have today.

Since childhood, it was my dream to become an actor and come to Mumbai, and this decision became the turning point of my life. As it is said in the Bhagavad Gita, a person should only focus on his actions and not worry about the results. Awards like 'Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year' confirm this belief, and I will continue to work with full honesty and dedication.
