RTE session 2025-26: Last date for nodal verification extended, parents appealed to be vigilant

Sarangarh The last date for nodal verification for the academic session 2025-26 under the RTE 12(1)(c) scheme in Chhattisgarh has been extended to 30 April 2025. Earlier this date was fixed as 25 April. This decision has been taken in the interest of those children whose applications have not been approved yet due to any documentary error or incompleteness.

Parents should be alert, avoid transactions
The admission process is completely free, online and lottery based. The Principal and Nodal Officers in charge of RTE have clarified that parents should not transact with any broker or outsider. If any school or person demands money in the name of admission, then the parents can complain directly to the BEO or DEO. Strict action will be taken in such cases.

What is RTE 12(1)(c) Scheme?
The RTE Act was passed by the Parliament of India on 4 August 2009 and came into effect from 1 April 2010. In Chhattisgarh, its benefits are being given from the session 2010-11. Earlier the scheme was limited to class 8th, which has now been revised at the state level and extended to class 12th.

Under this scheme, 25% seats in the primary classes of non-aided and non-minority private schools of the state are reserved for economically weaker and disadvantaged children. As per the eligibility, children in the age group of 3 to 6.5 years can apply for it.
Initiative towards social inclusion and equality

The basic objective of the RTE scheme is to promote social inclusion and equality among all sections of the society. So far, about 2.9 lakh students in Chhattisgarh are receiving free education under this scheme.

Last chance: Complete the verification process by April 30
Parents whose applications are stuck due to lack of documents or any other reason can join the approval process again by submitting revised documents by April 30.
