Korba     On Friday afternoon, near Dhorabatha turn of Pali police station area, a speeding trailer loaded with sand crushed three bike riders in which a youth named Akshay Kashyap died on the spot, while two others were seriously injured and are being treated in the hospital. According to eyewitnesses, the trailer driver was in a drunken state and fled from the spot after the collision. The collision was so severe that Akshay's body got stuck in the trailer's wheel and the body was divided into two parts. At present, the police have registered a case against the truck driver and have started searching for him.

According to the information, 35-year-old Akshay Kashyap was a resident of Kasdih village and had come to Pali with his two friends on Friday. After finishing work in the afternoon, the three youths were returning to the village on a bike, when a trailer coming from the front hit them hard. Akshay died on the spot in the accident, while the other two youths were taken to the hospital with the help of passersby, where both are undergoing treatment. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the relatives of the deceased and the people of the village reached the spot in large numbers.

The angry villagers blocked the road demanding the arrest of the trailer driver. Due to the jam, long queues of vehicles were formed on both sides. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and controlled the situation. Pali police have registered a crime in the case. The family was given a financial assistance of one lakh rupees by the trailer owner and 25 thousand rupees by the administration, after which the villagers removed the blockade. The family told that Akshay used to take care of the family by working as a laborer and he was the only earning member of the house.
