Young girls were pushed into prostitution on the pretext of giving them jobs: Female broker arrested

  Raipur    A prostitution racket has been busted in a rented house in Bhatgaon, Raipur. Purani Basti police station has arrested a woman broker Rusha Khare on the information of an informer, who was bringing poor girls from Surguja, Janjgir-Champa and Sarangarh to Raipur on the pretext of giving them jobs and was forcibly pushing them into prostitution.

How the action was taken
Purani Basti police station in-charge received information that immoral activities were being conducted in a rented house in Italia House, Bhatgaon. Under the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Ummed Singh, and guidance of ASP Daulatram Porte and Lakhan Patel, a team was 

formed under the leadership of City Superintendent of Police Rajesh Devangan and a raid was conducted.
A pointer (witness) was sent with Rs 1500 in cash, who gave the information to the police through a mobile miss call. After this, the team raided the house and caught four women in objectionable condition.

Arrest and seizure
Main accused Rusha Khare husband Dhanu Khare (age 38) resident of Ambedkar Nagar, Pendravan, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh was arrested from the spot.

Statement of the girls
Three other girls said that Rusha Khare called them to Raipur by luring them with more money and job and then forcibly pushed them into prostitution. Police registered a case and filed FIR No. 224/2025 under sections 4, 5, 7 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956 and sent Rusha Khare to judicial custody.

Important role of the team

In this action, especially CSP Purani Basti: Rajesh Dewangan, Police Station Incharge: Yogesh Kashyap, Sub Inspector: Shishupal Chandravanshi, Women Head Constable: Yogita Mishra, Women Constable: Kaveri Chakraborty, TI and constable team were involved.

This action is part of the police campaign in which prostitution going on in salons, spas and rented houses is being stopped. The police have again warned that such immoral acts will not be tolerated in the city and the action will continue.
