Excise department raids Harsh Pride: 105 liters of foreign liquor seized

Raipur The Excise Department has taken a major action in Harsh Pride Apartment, Daldalseoni of the capital and seized 105 liters of foreign liquor smuggled from Madhya Pradesh. During this, the accused Sanjay Daswani has been arrested. The value of the seized liquor has been estimated at ₹ 1.59 lakh.

Action taken on the information of the informer
After receiving confidential information to the District Excise Department, on the instructions of Excise Commissioner cum Managing Director and Collector Gaurav Singh, the team raided the house of Sanjay Daswani. During the raid, many brands of foreign liquor were recovered, which were brought to Raipur illegally from Madhya Pradesh.

Interrogation of the accused continues, mobile seized
Police has started questioning the accused and his mobile has been seized and contacts are being investigated. According to officials, Sanjay Daswani has been associated with illegal liquor business for a long time and the role of other suspects in this racket is being investigated.

A case has been registered against the accused under the Chhattisgarh Excise Act and investigation of the case is going on.
