Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma reached Balodabazar Collectorate at around 1:30 pm to take stock of the incident of vandalism and arson done by the protesters in the joint district office located at the district headquarters Balodabazar on Monday. Food Minister Mr. Dayal Das Baghel and Revenue Minister Mr. Tankaram Verma were also with him. He took detailed information about the incident from the Collector and SP. He also inspected the entire premises, the city including the arson, District Panchayat, Family Court and Janpad Panchayat office and took stock of the damages.
Mr. Sharma expressed deep sorrow over the incident. He has instructed the concerned officials to take strict action against the culprits. He further said that a large number of vehicles have been damaged. Some of which would be of poor people and officers and employees who had come for their work, along with this government property has been damaged, God knows how many documents have been burnt in the record room, the building has been burnt which is built with great difficulty. He said that those who destroy government property do not belong to the society. Baba Guru Ghasidas is revered in the entire state. He is the white flag bearer and a symbol of peace. Last month, the Jaitkhambh was damaged in Amar Gufa. Dissatisfied with the police investigation, the people of the society had demanded an inquiry. After all kinds of discussions, a judicial inquiry was announced on the instructions of the Honorable Chief Minister. To express satisfaction, the people of the society had organized a program to thank the Chief Minister. During this, anti-social elements entered the crowd and committed the incident. The matter is being investigated and strict action will be taken against the culprits. During this, IG Amresh Mishra, Sanjeev Shukla, Collector KL Chauhan, SP Sadanand Kumar, a large number of public representatives and eminent citizens were also present.
