Shri Muzaffar Khan, a farmer from Mangla, has been granted financial aid under Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayta Yojana for the treatment of his kidney ailment, significantly easing the process of his treatment. The family has expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for his compassionate initiative. This year, 131 families from Bilaspur district have benefitted from the scheme. Under this initiative, financial aid of up to Rs 25 lakh is provided for the treatment of critical illnesses.

Shri Muzaffar Khan has been suffering from a severe kidney disease for the past two years. The treatment cost was in the lakhs, and despite their limited means, the family began treatment at a renowned private hospital in the state using their savings. However, the recurring cost of dialysis every third day had put an enormous financial strain on them. Muzaffar Khan’s son, Mushtaq Khan, shared that during this challenging time, they learned about the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme. Upon visiting Raipur, they applied for the aid, and soon, the funds were sanctioned, which is now helping cover the costs of his father’s dialysis and medicines.

Expressing his gratitude towards Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, he said that the financial assistance from the government has given his father a new lease on life. Muzaffar Khan’s wife, Bilkis Bano, also expressed relief, stating that the support from the Chief Minister has brought great comfort to their family, allowing them to continue the treatment without worry.
