Now there is no mercy for those who violate traffic rules in the capital. After receiving continuous complaints of violating traffic rules in the city, the traffic police has now decided to take strict action.

Now, e-challans will be sent within five minutes to drivers who drive vehicles ignoring traffic rules. More than a thousand e-challans are issued daily in the capital against those who ignore traffic rules. The drivers who are issued e-challans get information about the challan after eight to ten days. In such a situation, a situation of dispute arises. Keeping this in mind, so that drivers who drive vehicles ignoring traffic rules can get e-challans within five minutes, the traffic police contacted the Smart City Management and demanded to update the ITMS and make arrangements for generating e-challans in five minutes. Based on the demand of the traffic police, the Smart City Management has updated the ITMS software and made arrangements for generating e-challans in five minutes.

Initially, challan will reach hundred drivers

According to the traffic police, as an experiment, e-challan will be generated and sent to hundred drivers so that those who ignore traffic rules get e-challan within five minutes. If the experiment is successful, the number of e-challans will be increased. After this, e-challan will be sent to all the drivers who drive vehicles breaking traffic rules within five minutes.

Arrangements on the instructions of SSP

After receiving continuous complaints of driving vehicles in violation of traffic rules in the city, recently SSP Dr. Lal Umed Singh had come to inspect ITAMS. After reaching there, the SSP saw that the drivers who break traffic rules are getting e-challan in eight to ten days. After this, the SSP instructed to make arrangements to send e-challan immediately to the drivers who break traffic rules.

More than one thousand e-challans daily

On an average, more than one thousand e-challans are issued daily in cases of traffic violations in the capital. Also, about four hundred people reach the traffic police station daily to deposit the amount of e-challan. Due to the delay in getting the challan amount to the traffic police, it takes eight to ten days to generate the e-challan. By generating the e-challan within five minutes, the traffic police will be able to get the challan amount on time, as well as the revenue will also increase.

The traffic system will improve

According to the traffic police, immediate e-challan will curb those who break traffic rules. In the capital, most of the incidents of jumping traffic signals and driving on the wrong side are reported. Most auto, e-rickshaw and two-wheeler drivers drive on the wrong side and jump signals, due to which accidents occur. With the introduction of the system of issuing e-challan within five minutes, the traffic police will also get relief from unnecessary disputes. In case of a dispute, the traffic police can show the ITMS footage to the driver and tell him about his mistake. Also, the facility of making online payment within ten minutes of generation of e-challan has been provided.
