After films, Genelia will now do a web series

Actress Genelia Deshmukh's team Pune United recently won the World Pickleball League. The actress shared her journey in films and the growing love for sports in India as well as her plans to work in web series. The actress has done films in many languages including Hindi, Marathi along with South Indian films.

When the actress was asked if the audience will be able to see her in an OTT series soon? She said, I would love to work in OTT. Be it short-format or long-format, what matters to me is how I am able to deliver the content to my audience. My personality is such that I am ready to do any kind of work. Work is work. I started doing South films a long time ago. I am very proud of doing South films.

She further said, I have done Bollywood and South films. I like films as a medium, be it in long or short format, but I am excited about this and have been waiting for a long time. India is making its mark in sports at the global level. Gukesh Domraju became world champion in chess, India performed well in both Paris Olympics and Paralympics.

The actress was asked if she sees a change for the sports ecosystem in India? The actress said, I love sports and have always hoped and prayed that we have better sports facilities, infrastructure and more people watching it. It was limited to one or two sports, I think today people are openly embracing every sport and every person who is doing well in something. I think it is great for viewers like me and my kids who are interested in sports.

Genelia said, I think you have the opportunity to dream and work hard. Dreaming is one part of it, but going out there and making it to the international stage is something that India has been doing very well for many years now.
