A Sarpanch candidate died during election campaign in Hardi Bazar police station area of Korba district. The deceased candidate had been Sarpanch twice and had to face defeat in the last election. He had contested elections for the fourth time. The matter is of Hardi Bazar police station area.

Budhwar Singh, a resident of Gram Panchayat Dhatura of Hardi Bazar police station area, has been active in village politics for a long time. In the year 2005, his wife was the Sarpanch of the village. In the year 2010, Budhwar Singh was elected Sarpanch for the first time. After this, in 2015 also he was elected Sarpanch in Gram Panchayat Dhatura. Again he worked as Sarpanch for 5 years. In the year 2020, Budhwar Singh again contested the election as Sarpanch in Gram Panchayat Dhatura but he lost.

After this, in the year 2025, Budhwar Singh again filed his nomination as a Sarpanch candidate. He was continuously campaigning in the village. His campaign was going on by going door to door. During the campaign, his health deteriorated. Budhwar Singh was taken to Korba District Hospital by his colleagues.

After examination, the doctors said that Budhwar Singh had high blood pressure. He died during treatment. There is an atmosphere of sadness in the village due to the death of Budhwar Singh.
