A female doctor at Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Bilaspur has accused the Head of the Department of Medicine (HOD) of harassment. In the complaint, she has alleged inappropriate behavior, mental harassment and physical rejection. The victim female doctor, who is a post graduate resident of MD Medicine second year, has written a letter to the state president of Chhattisgarh Doctors Federation against Dr. Pankaj Tembhurnikar, HOD of the Department of Medicine. In the letter, she alleged continuous mental and physical harassment for the last eight months.
The female doctor told that when she was on emergency duty, Dr. Tembhurnikar snatched her mobile phone and threw it away. Apart from this, she has also alleged verbal abuse and inappropriate touching. The victim said that due to these incidents she is under severe mental stress and her work performance is being affected.
