A truck hit a traveller in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Seven people died in this accident, while some people are trapped in the traveller which was shattered after the collision. They are seriously injured, efforts are being made to save them.
According to the information, the accident took place at around 9 am on the Nagpur-Prayagraj National Highway, about 50 km from Jabalpur. A truck loaded with cement was going from Jabalpur to Katni, during which it hit a traveller full of people. On receiving the information of the accident, Collector Deepak Saxena, SP Sampat Upadhyay and a police team reached the spot. Villagers and police personnel started efforts to take out the people trapped in the traveller. The people in the traveller are also said to be residents of Andhra Pradesh. They had come to take bath in Prayagraj Mahakumbh. While returning home from there, their traveller met with an accident.
Two were rescued, one person is still trapped in the traveller.
According to the police, two people trapped in the traveller have been taken out and admitted to the hospital. While, one more person is badly stuck in the Traveller, efforts are being made to take him out. Collector Deepak Saxena said that the family members of the deceased and the injured were informed about the mishap by calling them. The seriously injured people are being treated in the hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of the hospital. Their post mortem will be done after the arrival of the family members.
After the collision between the truck and the Traveller, a car also collided.
It is being told that after the collision between the Traveller and the truck, a car coming from the front also collided with both the vehicles. Fortunately the airbags of the car opened due to which the lives of all the people in it were saved.
