A father who had come to meet his daughter from Dalli Rajhara in Bhilai was found dead in room number 104 of Hotel Ashish Park. He had stayed in the hotel after meeting his daughter at her in-laws' place. After postmortem, the body has been handed over to the family. Cantonment police is investigating the matter. Cantonment

station in-charge Chetan Chandrakar said that information was received from Ashish Park Hotel in Power House at 3:30 pm on Monday that a person was staying in room number 104 for 3 days. He is not opening the door from inside. After this, a police team reached the hotel. The hotel manager told that the person staying there has locked the room door from inside. When the patrolling team opened the door of room number 104, they saw that an old man was lying dead on the bed. On searching, it was found that he was Ramkrishna Sahu (62 years), resident of Dalli Rajhara Purana Bazar. Family members told that Ramkrishna's daughter is married in Baikunthdham Cantonment Bhilai. He had come to meet his daughter at her in-laws' place. He went to his daughter's house and met her. After meeting his daughter, he told her on phone after some time that he was staying at Ashish Park Hotel. Family members said that Ramakrishna Sahu had consumed pesticide twice before this but his life was saved when his family members saw him in time. Police have registered a case in the matter. The cause of death will be known after the postmortem report comes.
