Rajasthan Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the locations of Executive Engineer of PWD department in the case of acquiring property disproportionate to income in Rajasthan. Rajasthan Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided several locations of PWD department's Executive Engineer (XEN) Deepak Mittal on Sunday morning. This action was taken simultaneously at Mittal's locations located in Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Beawar, Jodhpur and Faridabad in Haryana. During this, ACB has found out benami property worth crores related to cash, gold-silver jewellery, plots, bank balance and investments.

Black money worth crores found in the raid
The ACB team has recovered about Rs 50 lakh in cash, half a kg of gold jewellery and about 1.5 kg of silver jewellery from Mittal's residence in Jaipur. Apart from this, more than a dozen properties purchased at the cost of crores in Jaipur, Udaipur and Ajmer have also been revealed.

Details of benami properties
4 plots in Jaipur – total cost Rs 1 crore
9 plots in Udaipur – total cost Rs 1.34 crore
3 plots in Beawar and Ajmer – total cost Rs 6.50 lakh
Deposits in 18 bank accounts – Rs 40 lakh
Mutual fund investment – ​​Rs 50 lakh
Total cost of vehicles – Rs 15 lakh
Search of bank lockers still on

During the ACB investigation, it was found that Mittal has acquired assets worth Rs 4.02 crore more than his legitimate income.

Expensive education of children and other documents also recovered
ACB has also found documents related to the education of Mittal's children. His children are studying in St. Xavier's School, Jaipur, Jaipur National University and AIIMS, Gorakhpur. The account of their fees of about Rs 70 lakh till now has been found in these institutions. Apart from this, documents of investment in many insurance policies have also been recovered.

Search of bank lockers still
on In the investigation so far, information about three bank lockers of Mittal has been received, which are yet to be searched. ACB suspects that huge amount of cash, jewellery and other documents can be found in these lockers.

ACB action continues
ACB officials are conducting a detailed investigation of the properties of Mittal and his family members. Further action is being taken against the accused. More revelations are likely in the case.
